Character education for Youth!
Youth are known for their energy and but often this energy vents out in the wrong way which can be harmful for the society.

The society needs youth with strong set of positive character that benefit the individual as well as the community at large. These virtues need to be developed by imparting character education. This means to look beyond the academic growth and substantiate the social and emotional development of a child.

A youth is subjected to different vistas which may be unsafe for the delicate mind. Youth can easily fall prey to pessimistic believes because for them choices have no effect on consequences and circumstances cannot be changed.

Lying, cheating, stealing, consuming drugs and bullying or even calling names are some of the negativities a young mind faces continually and one might become indulgent if one sees temporary gains coming out of it at that point in time. Most of the times they use these as a bait to justify their inaction. Needless to say that the most troublesome students at school are the ones who have a weak value system and as a consequence end up making wrong choices.

Hence the need of the hour is to prioritize ones need for values.Without values one is like a rudderless ship in a sea, susceptible to every danger. Strong values breeds confidence and brings in self belief. With self belief and values one is capable of making good and right choices, no matter how unlike situations become.

Good decisions are like good seeds which will give us long lasting happiness once we sow them properly. A garden with seeds of selfishness will only produce fruit of isolation and rejection and a harvest of loneliness. Also planting the seed of truth produces trust and the person feels confident.

The youth should be made to understand this at length in order to make them achieve good results and make correct choices. Once these concepts are instilled in them, no matter how many distractions the youth faces, they will never deter from their path and in time also go on to become role models for others.

Thus character education plays an eminent role in developing positive qualities in youth which in turn help canalize their energy for the growth of the society at large.
