There are children playing in the streets who could solve some of my top problems in physics, because they have modes of sensory perception that I lost long ago. – J. Robert Oppenheimer
I am often accused of being childish. I prefer to interpret that as child-like. I still get wildly enthusiastic about little things. I tend to exaggerate and fantasize and embellish. I still listen to instinctual urges. I play with leaves. I skip down the street and run against the wind. I never water my garden without soaking myself. It has been after such times of joy that I have achieved my greatest creativity and produced my best work. – Leo F. Buscaglia, Bus 9 to Paradise
The elective system offered a bewildering freedom of choice, leaving some graduates with the impression that they had nibbled at dozens of canapés of knowledge and never had their fill. - Ted Morgan
Standardization is the fertilizer of college education. A little may be useful, but flowers do not grow in pure manure. – Martin H. Fischer
A university is a college with a stadium seating over 40,000. – Leonard L. Levinson
The quality of a university is measured more by the kind of student it turns out than the kind it takes in. - Robert J. Kibbee
Happy is he who still loves something he loved in the nursery: He has not been broken in two by time; he is not two men, but one, and he has saved not only his soul but his life. – G.K. Chesterton

When it comes to improving the level of performance or staying ahead of the rest in the world of health and fitness, Creatine is one name that is admired by one and all.
Creatine is one of the most effective of all health supplements in today’s fitness market. It is an exemplary dietary supplement for enhancing muscle power and body strength.
From Successandyouth.com:
Creatine is considered by health experts and sport coaches as one of the most effective supplements. The supplement is exemplary, to say the least, when it comes to improving the levels of body strength and muscle power. It enhances the ability of professional sportsmen requiring intense short-term efforts such as swimming, bodybuilding, and weight lifting. In addition to that, creatine is also effective for increasing production and circulation of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) to help sportsmen deliver top-class performance on a continuing basis.
Creatine is available in the body in its natural form and made in the liver. This dietary supplement can be taken in a supplement form (chewable tablets, capsules, and powder).
The recommended dose of Creatine is 0.3 mg per kilogram of your body weight. However, it is important for you to note that doses can vary from person-to-person and only a qualified medical practitioner can guide you about the right Creatine doses.
All in all, Creatine is one name that you can trust even with closed eyes but under medical guidance, of course!

Fifa A Savior To Mahindra Satyam
Satyam is now rebranded as Mahindra Satyam. It has gained a better image with all thanks to FIFA to give a chance for repositioning in the market. All the tasks from providing IT services to work as organizers, volunteers to ensuring logistics were handled by Satyam. Satyam stood against all the odds and showed better performance.
From Indiatimes.com:
MUMBAI: Nearly 18 months ago, India’s Satyam was rocked by a false-accounting scandal that threatened its very existence. But bosses believe the firm’s image has been restored — thanks to the World Cup.
The software outsourcing giant, rebranded as Mahindra Satyam, has been the main IT services provider for the tournament in South Africa, ensuring the logistics were in place for the mega-event to pass off without a hitch.
The firm’s logo has been on pitch-side advertising hoardings at every match, while around 150 staff have been working behind the scenes to ensure fans, organisers, volunteers and the media are in the right place at the right time.
“Our main goal was to show to the world that despite our problems we have been able to successfully deliver cutting-edge solutions at the highest, and most visible, level,” said the firm’s head of sports business, Dilbagh Gill.
“We wanted to demonstrate to our customers, and give them confidence, that Mahindra Satyam, in spite of its resizing and its issues, is still a very strong technology player,” he said in emailed comments from South Africa.
This opportunity did give a new hope to the company to gain customers trust and start working towards repositioning all together. Inspite of all the problems Satyam faced past 18 months, this was an opportunity for them to show their potential. In broader way, FIFA played an important role in Satyam’s upliftment.
Insulin-resistant women benefit more from low-carb diet than low-fat diet
Obese women with resistance to insulin lose more weight after three months on a diet with low carbohydrates than being on a traditional diet low on fat with the same number of calories, as per a new study.
Study’s lead author, Raymond Plodkowski, chief of endocrinology, nutrition and metabolism at the University Of Nevada School Of Medicine, Reno, remarked that the typical diet recommended by physicians for losing weight is a low-fat diet but results of the study suggest that not all individuals benefit from this form of diet.
From in.news.yahoo.com:
People with insulin resistance, a common precursor for Type 2 diabetes, metabolize carbohydrates, or “carbs,” abnormally, which may affect their rate of weight loss. For them, Plodkowski said, “the lower-carb diet is more effective, at least in the short term.”
At 12-weeks, the study funded by Jenny Craig and using prepared calorie-controlled meals as part of a behavioral weight loss program, found that the insulin resistant women on a lower-carb diet lost 3.4 pounds more than those on a low-fat diet.
Forty-five obese women between the ages of 18 and 65 years participated in the study, and all had insulin resistance, as found by fasting blood levels of insulin. The researchers randomly assigned the women to either a low-fat or lower-carb diet.
The groups did not differ significantly in average body weight, the authors reported. On average, women in the low-fat diet group weighed 213 pounds, while women in the other group weighed 223 pounds.
The composition of the low-fat diet was 60 percent of calories from carbs, 20 percent from fat and 20 percent from protein. Although the lower-carb diet also had 20 percent of calories from protein, it had 45 percent from carbs and 35 percent from primarily unsaturated fats, such as nuts. Menus included a minimum of 2 fruits and 3 vegetable servings a day.
The results were presented at The Endocrine Society’s 92nd Annual Meeting in San Diego.
