The future potential is enormous but the country’s destiny is in our hands. The time has come to move from small increments to bold, large initiatives. Panic button will be discussed with Police by FacebookIn order to discuss child safety issues, executives from Facebook are due for a meeting with a senior UK police offer Monday in Washington.

It is important to note here that the popular social networking site was recently criticized by UK child experts and police officials for not doing much for making it easier for children to report incidents of sexual abuse or bullying.

A Ceop spokeswoman told CNN the agency had received 253 complaints about Facebook in the first quarter of this year and that only one of these had come “through the Facebook environment.”

“We have been trying to engage with Facebook for some time, this meeting is happening after a long build-up.

“More and more children are using Facebook and a panic button would allow them to report potential threats directly. We have experts who can respond immediately.”

Ceop says there is an urgent need to install the button and that it will help both children and parents.

A Facebook spokeswoman told CNN: “We will be discussing many issues, there are lots of initiatives.”

Facebook that claims of having more than 400 million users worldwide has said that it has a “robust” reporting system in place but recent incidents of sexual abuse seem to have “nullified” the claims.

The wine of youth does not always clear with advancing years; sometimes it grows turbid. – Carl Gustav Jung

You never know what peace is until you walk on the shores or in the fields or along the winding red roads of Prince Edward Island in a summer twilight when the dew is falling and the old stars are peeping out and the sea keeps its mighty tryst with the little land it loves. You find your soul then. You realize that youth is not a vanished thing but something that dwells forever in the heart. – Lucy Maud Montgomery

The child thinks of growing old as an almost obscene calamity, which for some mysterious reason will never happen to itself. All who have passed the age of thirty are joyless grotesques, endlessly fussing about things of no importance and staying alive without, so far as the child can see, having anything to live for. Only child life is real life. – George Orwell

The world is passing through troubling times. The young people of today think of nothing but themselves. They have no reverence for parents or old age. They are impatient of all restraint. They talk as if they knew everything, and what passes for wisdom with us is foolishness with them. As for the girls, they are forward, immodest and unladylike in speech, behavior and dress. – Peter the Hermit

“There is a fountain of youth: it is your mind, your talents, the creativity you bring to your life and the lives of people you love. When you learn to tap this source, you will truly have defeated age.” – Sophia Loren

“People grow old only by deserting their ideals, Macarthur had written. Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up interest wrinkles the soul. You are as young as your faith, as old as your doubt; as young as your self-confidence, as old as your fear; as young as your hope as old as your despair. In the central place of every heart there is a recording chamber. So long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer and courage, so long are you young. When your heart is covered with the snows of pessimism and the ice of cynicism, then, and then only, are you grown old. And then, indeed as the ballad says, you just fade away.” – Douglas MacArthur

Ask the young. They know everything. – Joseph Joubert

Everybody’s youth is a dream, a form of chemical madness. – Unknown

Even as old as I am, it doesn’t stop me from looking at men…as if anything might happen, as if life were about to start again; often when I go out in the evening I flirt as if I were only 50. We ought to be able to change our engines. This is the artist’s privilege—to be ageless. Passion keeps you young, and passion and liberty are so seductive. When I paint I am ageless, I just have the pleasure or the difficulty of painting. – Francis Bacon Quotes

Last, but by no means least, courage—moral courage, the courage of one’s convictions, the courage to see things through. The world is in a constant conspiracy against the brave. It’s the age-old struggle–the roar of the crowd on one side and the voice of your; conscience on the other. – Douglas MacArthur

Start doing the things you think should be done, and start being what you think society should become. Do you believe in free speech? Then speak freely. Do you love the truth? Then tell it. Do you believe in an open society? Then act in the open. Do you believe in a decent and humane society? Then behave decently and humanely. – Adam Michnik

Whatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising that tempt you to believe your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires some of the same courage that a soldier needs. Peace has its victories, but it takes brave men and women to win them. – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Perfect courage means doing unwitnessed what we would be capable of with the world looking on. – La Rochefoucauld

A human being is a part of the whole, called by us “Universe,” a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest – a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. Nobody is able to achieve this completely, but the striving for such achievement is in itself a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security. – Albert Einstein

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every expierence in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself. “I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.” – Elenor Roosevelt

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain. – Frank Herbert

The bravest are surely those who have the clearest vision of what is before them, glory and danger alike, and yet notwithstanding go out to meet it. – Thucydides

Only a brave person is willing to honestly admit, and fearlessly to face, what a sincere and logical mind discovers. – Rodan of Alexandria

Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear-not absence of fear. Except a creature be part coward it is not a compliment to say it is brave. – Lucius Annaeus Seneca
