How to do well in interviews?

Posted by admin On November - 27 - 2009

How to do well in interviewsThe first and foremost thing before going out to attend a job interview is to remember the fact that it is not going to be a criminal trial and end of the world. This is because sole purpose of the interview will be to find out if you suit the job requirements and have confidence to execute the job well.

The interviewer will not be seated to highlight your flaws. The interview meeting will be all about you finding whether or not the company you are interviewing for is right for you and the interviewer will be finding out if you are good for the company. That’s it!

In this regard, some tips can help to a considerable extent. Before you attend the interview, do some research about the company. This may include visiting the company’s website, its past and present projects, clients, and if possible about the person you will meet with at the interview.

Dress like a professional even though you may not be professional yet. Prepare in advance for answers that may be asked from you. Some of them may include:

  • Please tell me about yourself
  • Why you left your last job (if your were previously employed)
  • Why do you want to join this company
  • Where do you see yourself five years down the line
  • What are your compensation expectations

Make sure that have answers to all these questions before going to attend the job interview.

Life is to live, not for blame games

Posted by admin On November - 23 - 2009

Life is to live, not for blame gamesLet us read as to how you can improve the quality of life so that the poor destiny, which has always been blamed by you, is not blamed any more.

It is important for you to realize and remember that destiny gave you two hands to earn, two ears to hear, and two eyes to see. So, why are you blaming it? If you think otherwise, just think about the plight of those people who work with one hand, or are deaf, or are blind, aren’t you better placed than them? Obviously, they will also be blaming destiny just like you, but will this blame-game ever end?

How to live life?

Accept yourself as you are and do not be ashamed of your mind and talents. You have everything in you that can help you, but remember it will just “help you” and the real momentum needs to be initiated by you. If you cannot take an initiative, it is you who need to take the blame. It is you who need to think in a different manner and act differently. The God has bestowed everything to you that is needed to lead a balanced life but if your expectations are more than what you can realize or make efforts for, then it is your problem and the faster you find solutions, the better.

The best way:

Never be ashamed of your personality. If there are some changes in personality or skills that need to be made in you, accept them. Find happiness in small things and dream about those dreams that can be fulfilled, BY YOU. Do not make life of others miserable, help them and they will repay the favor. Remember, we all have to help one another to survive in the society and no one is an exception, including you and me. That’s it!

Roots of all problems – Demanding Relationships

Posted by admin On November - 14 - 2009

Roots of all problems - Demanding RelationshipsIn the last few years, gadgets and things such as televisions, DVDs, gaming consoles, free website content (scrupulous), and mobile phones have been used for illegal purposes. While one-night stands are common and young minds getting hurt emotionally, mentally, and physically, things are not going any good. Blame it on the pressure of peers or the desire to replicate idols such as celebrities and sportsmen, the young minds of today are forcing themselves into deep well, without even realizing the same. The pressure to fare well in competitive exams, expectations of parents and society, and relationships of youth are so much for a modern-day child and teenager that things are bound to go bad unless right advice is not that far.

It is important for the youth to understand and remember that things in life need to be prioritized. While relationships can take a backseat unless one is mature enough to understand the complexities of relationships, demanding relationships can only lead to the wrong ways. At a mind when young minds must concentrate on their studies and grooming themselves to be better citizens and people, too much of time is devoted to make sure that feelings are not hurt that too of and for a person who is himself or herself not sure of the feelings or future of the relationship.

The point to be conveyed is that demanding relationships should not be allowed to creep in as they can only give pain and discomfort. The young minds need to take a big step, a big step towards self-grooming and not moving their attention to something that is not right to ruin their future and emotional senses.

We hope that this blog for youth was able to serve its purpose.

Get the youth speak to you!

Posted by admin On November - 9 - 2009

Get the youth speak to you!Youth, indulging in reckless behaviour in present times does not surprise us anymore.  Arrogance can be seen as the major manifestation of discontent that lies within them today. Why discontent, we may think but the key actually lies in there. The answer to this is something I always say. A person who is happy with his life will never think of harming anyone. It is only when they are stressed that they spread the same around them as well. Let’s take look at some measures we can possibly employ to understand our youth better!

Listening actively!

Listening actively is the first step towards understanding our youth. Most adults do not even talk to the younger breed because they think that providing them with the best of everything, is a solution to all their problems. However, the fact of the matter is, whatever best we might be doing for our kid, it might not necessarily be what they want to do. Many of us don’t even give them the opportunity to choose a field of their interest. Even if you know what you do is in their best interest, it is imperative that they themselves derive at this decision by themselves. So never try to push them for towards what you want them to be. If you do, they will pull away.

Listening actively to the younger breed involves truly listening to what they have to say and not assuming it. Most of us do that and end up taking action based on what we demand from them.

We should understand that there can be a number of things the youth would want to do. However it is our responsibility to give them choices which provides them with an effective means towards achieving their goal. Today a large number of people indulge in doing mischief and hang around the streets out of boredom.  A simple way to combat this is to simply listen to them which will make them feel wanted and loved. That’s the best way we can make them better human beings.
